Athletes in the age groups U7 through to U17 are eligible for this event.\u00a0 U7 athletes do not progress past the Zone Championships. The actual order of events for zone is determined by each zone coordinator (e.g. most zones run a 2-day (Sat &amp; Sun) program, with the remaining running a 3-day (Fri, Sat &amp; Sun) program.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>MULTI CLASS ATHLETES<\/strong>\u00a0(athletes with a disability)<\/h5>\n<p>Multi Class athletes will have direct entry into Region Championships. There is no progression from Zone to Region. To enter Region Championships the athlete must click HERE (Opening in November). All Multi Class athletes who wish to compete must hold a classification otherwise they will be ineligible to enter and compete.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ZONE TO REGION PROGRESSION<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>Regions with\u00a0three zones will have\u00a0four automatic places progress; regions with\u00a0four zones will have\u00a0three automatic places\u00a0progress;\u00a0and regions with\u00a0two zones will have\u00a0six automatic places progress through to their respective regions.\u00a0Then a maximum of\u00a0four next best qualifiers from each region will also be taken through to the respective regions. Making a total of\u00a0<strong>up to<\/strong>\u00a016 athletes in each event at each<\/h3>\n<h3>To check to if your Region is posting live results, please click\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlearesults.com\/\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>PROGRESSION TO STATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first two (2) places\u00a0<strong>**<\/strong>\u00a0at each of the eight regions will automatically progress to state (see exception below)**.<\/p>\n<p>Little Athletics NSW then selects the next best eight clear final performances across all regions.\u00a0 Making a total of <strong>up to 24<\/strong> athletes in each event at the State Championships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>**<\/strong>\u00a0The exception to the auto qualifiers automatically progressing is if athletes fail to meet the qualifying marks for the 1500m Walk, 3000m or High Jump (as per Rules of Competition, Section D).<\/p>\n<p>For more information please click <a href=\"https:\/\/lansw.com.au\/regional-championships\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REGION 8:\u00a0 \u00a0 12th \/13th \/14th\/ Febrary 2027 SYLVANIA WATERS\u00a0 &nbsp; Zone Championships are conducted in each of the 23 zones throughout the state.
