Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Organisational Mission<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201c[We] aspire to provide the community with recreational athletics activities that contribute to the healthy\u00a0development of our children.\u00a0 Such activities will promote:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fun<\/li>\n<li>Fitness<\/li>\n<li>Friendships<\/li>\n<li>The development of skills<\/li>\n<li>The building of character and self-esteem<\/li>\n<li>The fostering of good sportsmanship in a safe, positive, family-friendly and inclusive environment.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Governance Framework<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>St George Little Athletics Centre Inc<\/strong> is an incorporated association subject to the NSW\u00a0<em>Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (&#8216;the Act&#8217;)<\/em>.\u00a0 \u00a0 The Act, which is administered by NSW Fair Trading,\u00a0requires every association to have a <strong>Constitution<\/strong>, which binds both members and the association to comply with its terms.\u00a0 The Constitution of St George Little Athletics Centre is set out in:\u00a0\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/centrewebsiteadmin.resultshq.com.au\/stge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/101\/2019\/06\/St-George-LAC-Constitution-May-2019-v1.1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Constitution<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 The Constitution has been approved by way of Special Resolution at a General Meeting of members and may only be amended by special resolution at such a meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Act<\/strong> and the <strong>Constitution<\/strong> set out requirements for the establishment of a <strong>Committee<\/strong> to manage the Centre.\u00a0 The Committee is made up of members elected at the Annual General Meeting, and may include members appointed by the Committee to fill vacant positions.\u00a0 \u00a0The Committee of St George Little Athletics Centre is listed on the\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/stgeorgelac.org.au\/committee\/\">Committee<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Constitution<\/strong> authorises the Committee to formulate <strong>By-Laws<\/strong> for the proper advancement, management and administration of the Centre and Little Athletics in the local community as it thinks necessary or desirable (consistent with the Constitution).\u00a0 The By-Laws are binding on the Centre and all Members.\u00a0 \u00a0The By-Laws of St George Little Athletics Centre are set out in:\u00a0 \u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/centrewebsiteadmin.resultshq.com.au\/stge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/101\/2026\/08\/St-George-LAC-By-Laws-Aug-2026.pdf\">By-Laws<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Policies<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Constitution obliges the Centre to affiliate with <strong>Little Athletics NSW<\/strong> (LANSW) and to adopt and abide by its framework of rules and policy.<\/p>\n<p>LANSW Policies can be found here:\u00a0 <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nswathletics.org.au\/about\/club-governance-administration-policies\">LANSW Policies<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These include (among others):<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.revolutionise.com.au\/cups\/nswathletics\/files\/ymzbwmobl4uu9tcb.pdf\">Smoke Free Policy<\/a><\/span>, which\u00a0forbids smoking \/ vaping \/ e-cigarettes at venues during athletics activities<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.revolutionise.com.au\/cups\/nswathletics\/files\/q5feeuvijrb5kmmk.pdf\">Alcohol Policy<\/a><\/span>, which forbids sale or consumption of alcohol during athletics activities including club &#8216;meets&#8217;<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/lanswresourcehub.com\/s\/codes_of_conduct.pdf\">Codes of Conduct<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/5ee86c83ef0c6223c8f6e17f\/t\/5f4745ba641dc22ef3bc1187\/1598506429264\/Behavioural-Guidelines.pdf\">Behavioural Guidelines<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>all of which are binding on the Centre, member athletes and parents and all other persons who participate in any way in Little Athletics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Organisational Mission \u201c[We] aspire to provide the community with recreational athletics activities that contribute to the healthy\u00a0development of our children.\u00a0 Such activities will promote: Fun Fitness Friendships The development of skills The building of character and self-esteem The fostering of good sportsmanship in a safe, positive, family-friendly and inclusive environment.&#8221;
