Program (2026-27)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">General<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The club offers several awards to encourage participation and to recognise those who have demonstrated a\u00a0high level of commitment and achievement in their sport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All award recipients must be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> registered and paid up \u2018Competitive Members\u2019 of St George Little\u00a0Athletics Centre and <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>meet the criteria specified below in the description of each award, and <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>meet the criteria specified in the Notes at the bottom of this page.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The set of athletes to receive one or more awards will be notified to parents in advance of award presentation events.\u00a0 <strong><em>Please note that not all children receive an award.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Past Award Winners<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Winners of awards in the &#8220;Club Competition&#8221; and &#8220;Major&#8221; categories are listed in the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/stgeorgelac.org.au\/annual-reports\/\">Annual Reports<\/a><\/span> posted on the Website.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">*** Changes from Last Season ***<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Family Duty Target for awards eligibility has been raised from 10 to 12.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Both athlete participation &amp; family duty targets are pre-requisites for all Awards for 6s to 17s other than 5 \/ 10-year Service Awards.)<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Awards for the 2025\/26 Season<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4>Participation Award<\/h4>\n<p>This award is provided to those athletes for whom the &#8220;<strong>Friday Night Participation Criterion<\/strong>&#8221; has been met.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Satisfaction of this criterion requires that<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p>1- Upon completion of the season <em>the athlete has attempted<strong>\u00a075%<\/strong> of the events offered to his\/her Age Group across the season<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>and<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2- The <em>athlete&#8217;s family\/parents have performed<\/em> the minimum number of parent helper signup duties we&#8217;ve specified for the season.\u00a0 For 2026\/27, this is 12.\u00a0 [A family may be deemed to have met this condition by the payment of a fee &#8211; as set out here:\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/stgeorgelac.org.au\/parent-duty-exemption\/\">Parent Duty Exemption<\/a><\/span> ]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Notes Regarding Participation<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The 75% target\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>incorporates<\/em><\/span> an allowance for occasional illness\/injury, family commitments, holidays etc. No further allowances are provided.<\/li>\n<li>From time to time, athletes may want to attend <em>athletics carnivals<\/em> or other <em>athletics-specific events<\/em> held in locations and\/or at times which would prevent the athlete from participating in one or more of our weekly Friday competitions.\u00a0 In certain cases, we may credit the athlete&#8217;s STGLAC participation measure so that attendance at the carnival or other event does not prejudice their club participation measure.\u00a0 \u00a0Credit can only be requested via the application form which can be found here:\u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Notes<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Club Captains (usually 1 x boy and 1 x girl) are appointed at the start of a season for a 1-year term and receive an award at the end of the season.<\/li>\n<li>To be eligible for the carnival <em>representative<\/em> awards above, athletes must participate in the event\u00a0<em>representing St George LAC<\/em>\u00a0(with the exception of Nationals), their uniform must comply with the requirements set out on the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/stgeorgelac.org.au\/uniforms\/\">Uniforms<\/a><\/span> page and they must have met the <em>Friday Night Participation Criterion <\/em>defined above.<\/li>\n<li>Where a carnival is conducted over the winter period preceding the current (summer) season, the athlete must be a member of St George LAC both in that season and in the current (summer) season.\u00a0 The <em>Friday Night Participation Criterion<\/em> is assessed based on the current (summer) season.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Club Competition Age Group Awards<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<table id=\"tablepress-35\"
